    Default Email Throttling Options

    Hi Guys,

Ive been a customer for a few months with a reseller account that I am yet to really start using at all.

Anyway, Im looking to move one of my forums (I run a half dozen or so) onto my hosting account because it makes sense to have it hosted in the UK.

Anyway, Ive got about 9,000 members on this forum, and I send out weekly newsletters to all 9,000 of them, I understand that Im throttled to 300 per hour, and as my forum has to send out other mails ad hoc anyway, I cant really allow more than 200 to be sent per hour on the newsletter.

That means that it will take TWO whole days to send out the email, which is far too long!!

Can I increase my emails to 500 per hour at the very least to expedite this problem a bit?

    thanks

    MOGmartin

    Hi Martin,

You will need to consider one of our VPS, Semi-dedicated server or Dedicated Server hosting plans. You won't have any hourly limit on these plans as there's no way for us to check your outgoing emails unless someone complaints.

If you will be sending genuine emails to your forum members then you can push all 9000 emails in few minutes from a Semi-Dedicated or Dedicated Server. I will suggest a x3065 Dedicated Server with 2 GB RAM and cPanel control panel to prevent any sort of problem for your server while pushing the emails. If you have some software which will evenly distribute the emails and send in 30 - 40 minutes, then you can consider a VPS.
