Default Reseller hosting vs Web hosting affiliate programs

    Hi

In my opinion the web hosting companies offer attractive offers that make web hosting affiliate programs a much better choice than reseller hosting.

Web hosting affiliate programs and reseller hosting; both are very different in nature. You can sign up for affiliate hosting in case you would like to earn quick money online; with your websites and blogs. However if you want to start your own business with website hosting, in that case reseller hosting is the right option. So this completely depends on your preferences.

I think the reseller hosting is based on a wider perspective and therefore there are more profits involved. In my opinion, signing up for a reseller hosting plan is a much more profitable option than earning quick money with web hosting affiliate programs.

Instead of going for anyone of them, I would prefer to go for both by opting the eUKhost's Reseller Web Hosting packages and join their affiliate programs. Reseller plans provides you the ability to create your choice of plans that can suit your low budget clients. Whereas, the affiliate program allows you to earn good commissions and pay your reseller hosting fees.

That's absolutely correct, but this shouldn't be misunderstood that you can claim both the benefits at a time. For example: If you sell a web hosting package through your reseller website, you cannot claim an affiliate commission for that. Instead, if you make a sale via. the affiliate link provided with the affiliate program, only then you would be eligible for an affiliate commission.

If I choose to sign up for a web hosting affiliate program, can I choose the banner that suits my blog? And what would be the other terms and conditions applicable to me?

You can choose between any of the domains that should have been provided to you with the affiliate package. You can copy and insert the code at the location on your website. For anymore more information, you can visit : Affiliate Programs

What can be anything other than an opportunity to earn more money
Yeah, signing up with Eukhost's Affiliate Program would allow you to earn a much larger commission that others don't offer. Take a look at their affiliate commission structure here : https://www.eukhost.com/affiliates-commission.php

    That should be convincing enough

In order to adventure oneself towards the reselling business, one has to have some good knowledge of server management, in order to offer customer support to the persons they are offering their services to...

Considering this aspect, I'd rather choose the affiliate program, because it's simpler and, possibly, more lucrative.

Yes, If you don't have enough time and skills for providing tech support to your clients then joining webhosting affiliate scheme would be the best option. Just try to convince your clients to use your affiliate link if they are looking to buy webhosting services.

IMO, web hosting affiliate program is a simple way to make money online. On the other hand reseller hosting business is tough; you cannot run it from your home, but you can run affiliate marketing strategies by sitting in front of your home PC. And to become a successful affiliate you just need to seduce search engines to get on top

I think the generating revenue from reselling hosting services is more easy than earning money through affiliate programs. Affiliate programs requires a lot of efforts and patience to succeed. Whereas the reseller hosting is a very simple solution which can be used to create multiple small customized hosting packages that suits small online businesses budget. You just have to find some new customers and keep them happy with the reliable services.

It depends really on what you want at the bottom line and how much work (or lack of) you want to put into the new hobby. Some people start out as a hobby and before you know it, that little tiny reseller or affiliate branches off.
I took a long vacation but I'm back!

Extra efforts definitely needs to be put in both the cases. If you are intending to be a reseller, you'd not just need to optimise your website well for the search engines but also need to gain trust in the eyes of the customers. Similarly, if you are wanting to choose an affiliate program you still need to work on the optimization part (in this case it may be just off-page optimization if you dont have a website)

As I see it, reseller hosting and affiliate program is double the opportunity and two very different ways to earn involving different skills and strategies. Both require work, but through SEO and otherwise marketing your website, you can build it to a point where you achieve ongoing income through your affiliate efforts.

Efforts needs to be taken for achieving success in both the cases. But with a reseller hosting one needs to invest an initial amount to avail an account which can be resold to customers, whereas affiliate programs are usually free to join hence enabling with saving on the overhead costs.

IMO, I find it easier to handle a reseller package that has its own integrated billing and provisioning system. Handling WHM, WHMCS, a Control Panel and a store front end just gets too complicated at the end of the day. There has to be an easier solution to all this.
