    Default Correct URL for Webdav

What is the correct URL for access via webdav? I am trying:

    h t t p s : / / mydomain . com : 2078

On my Mac, via the Finder option Go > Connect to server..., I enter that URL and it asks for my username and password. I am putting in my cpanel login details. Then it hangs and stops responding.

The option in cpanel to download a program to do the connection has exactly the same result (it just hangs).

I can't get FTP to connect either (after creating a user in cpanel). At the moment I have a hosting account that I can't upload to!

Open port 2078 & 2077 in the firewall if any of you local machine & also which OS do you have installed on your local machine?

I've sent you a PM with the auth failure logs for FTP. Try using the correct user details.

I got the FTP working before you replied. Your PM wasn't too helpful to be honest, but thanks for trying. There seems to be very little on the knowledge base about exactly what to do. For FTP it seems you have to include the @domain in the username (that's why you saw so many failed attempts).

I still can't get webdav working on my Mac (OS X 10.6.6). The "Connect to server..." menu option lets me put in the details but it just hangs after telling me the security certificate is invalid (the certificate is not the problem, though; I know to expect that with shared hosting). It does exactly the same thing if I download the little application that cpanel provides: it just hangs in exactly the same place.

I can get webdav working via the Cyberduck application, but I don't want to use that. It does prove that all the ports and stuff are open properly though.

But it does not work via the Mac Finder, which I'd really like it to, so I can see my files in a normal Finder window.

If anyone with Mac experience can help me out, that would be much appreciated.

You got FTP working as the IP was unblocked from the firewall before I replied.

I don't use MAC hence won't be of any more help, but someone who does & uses the WEBDAV feature will surely reply. Good luck..
