cPanel Fantastico is quite far out-of-date - when will eUKHost catch up?

Dear eUKHost support team,

I'm running several sites with PHPWebSite which I installed using Fantastico. Since around June 2009 I noticed the Fantastico interface informing that I could do a 'manual upgrade'. HOW exactly I do this is my problem so I set about browsing the PHPWebSite forums. I could not find a way to upgrade my sites unfortunately. The last version of PHPWebSite that eUKHost offered was v0.10.2. This is Release Candidate code. The current stable version is v1.6.3. Although you do now offer this current version but for fresh installs only - I cannot upgrade my productions sites to this latest, stable version UNLESS eUKHost updates Fantastico to version 2.10.4 r33 or more - this will the allow me to upgrade my sites!

So please eUKHost catch up with the latest Fantastico release and let us upgrade to stable code. I suspect this affects plenty of other customers too. I'm on the new Nimrod server and I'm sure there are others unaware of this. Also, PHPWebSite v1.6.3 offers so much more capabilities than the previous eUKHost Fantastico hosted version prior v1.6.3 which was RC v0.10.2. Please let me know when you plan to upgrade Fantastico soon. Some of your competitors have done so already, e.g.

Fantastico version has been updated to "Stable Fantastico De Luxe 2.10.4 r36" on Nimrod server. You will be able to upgrade software's provided by Fantastico from cPanel >> Fantastico.

Thanks for the quick reply and fast action to respond with a Fantastico upgrade, but unfortunately I cannot upgrade my sites on PHPWebsSte to v1.6.3. It still says...

Hello,

Fantastico doesn't support automatic upgrade on phpWebSite. PhpWebSite (1.6.3) is available on new installation. We will have to do it manually. Please place a ticket on this.

I hope you have managed to resolve your upgrade problems hostmaster.

Unfortunately when software goes from RC to a full stable release there is rarely a chance to auto upgrade automatically (or at all in some cases) due to the vastly different releases.
