    Default Permissions Problem

    Hi,

I've just uploaded a new template to a Joomla installation in the root of rosoft.co.uk , but there's something weird going on with the permissions on the template folder, and I can't upload to it using Filezilla - it gives the following error:

Response: 553-Can't open that file: Permission denied
Response: 553 Rename/move failure: No such file or directory

The permissions on the folder are 755 at present, but it won't let me change them anyway.

I know I've had a similar problem in the past, and I think one of the guys on the chat system sorted it out for me, but I'd like to understand what causes it, and what can be done to stop it happening, as it's pretty restrictive.

    Any ideas people?

    Hi there,

I have corrected the ownership on the files and directories under the account. Please check once.

Your account is hosted on a non suexec/suphp server and files uploaded through the browsers on these servers have ownership set to nobody.

If you wish to migrate the account on the servers with suexec/suphp, please send an email at support[@]eukhost.com.

    Hope this info helps

    Hi Cristiano,

Thanks very much for getting back to me so quickly.

It sounds like I'd want to do that, but are there any reasons why I shouldn't?

(sorry to sound so dumb )

There is no reason why you should not migrate because we'll take care of 100% migration of your account. All your settings will remain same and you won't face any downtime during migration process.
