Posting to Wordpress via XMLRPC

Hi everyone,

I have just setup my Wordpress-MU installation on shared hosting here at EUKHost after running them on a Ubuntu 9.10 server locally for a while.

I was able to post via the XMLRPC interface previously by enabling it in Wordpress and using the 'charm' application , I blogged about how it all works here :-

opensource.blogs.weloveit.info/?p=246

Now charm reports this when attempting to post :-

Error in retrieving blogs (<ProtocolError for mythtv.blogs.weloveit.info/xmlrpc.php: 404 Not Found>).
Error, could not automatically select blog since you have more than one.

If I visit the same address in a browser or use wget / curl I can see it report correctly :-

XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.

I have even tried disabling mod_security in .htaccess but its still the same.

Any ideas ?

Hi there,

I have been checking the logs on the server & found that mod_security was blocking the charm application. I have excluded the ID which was getting blocked on the server & there was no need to disable mod_security for your domain. You should be able to get through with that (charm) application now.
