    Hi Richard,

We charge £15 to restore backup if you delete your data due to your mistake. If something goes wrong from our side then the backups are restored free of cost, but you will be charged if you loose your data due to your mistake.

Which does seem like a fair policy. I would always recommend that you keep an up-to-date local backup of your site in addition to eUKhosts backup. That way, even if you delete your data by mistake, you can restore it yourself free of cost .

    Hello,

Well, I've been willing to pay for the backup even though I don't think it is my fault. I've requested them to invoice me via PayPal so that I could pay them. My last request was on the 13th. As of today (the 17th), I not heard back from anyone.

What is the cause that is leading you to require a backup? Did you get a ticket number? - If so, I'm sure if you post it a member of eUKhost staff will look it up for you .

Thanks! I've now taken care of the matter by using their online help chat. They phoned me and hopefully everything will be handled. My index page this morning was starting to also have missing items.

Well, it looks like my problem has not been solved. I've emailed Ben in billing (transferred from the tech dept) since I cannot seem to log on now. Thus, I cannot provide a ticket number.
They did phone me yesterday as well to clarify the problem since now it looks like it it starting to mess up my index page as well (several sections, link partners, etc. are missing).
I did email them earlier this morning, but no response.
My site is Horse Betting Information & Resources | Horse Betting Tips | Horse Betting Types which is a sub domain of my main site. No problems (knock on wood) with the main site. I just want to get the site back up and running since it has been down since the 10th.
I would appreciate it if someone from the forum could contact them.

    Default Hi Richard !

Firstly, I apologise for the delay caused in sorting out this issue for your website bettingthehorsesonline.com. Today I raised an invoice for the back up restoration and as I can see you have also paid it immediately. I have gone through your previous emails and found that you were pointing to the problem about missing out few folders, links from the website. I have checked this issue with one of our senior tech. As we have scheduled a weekly back up on our servers, we can restore the back up for the date 16th November.

I may be wrong, but if the sites been down since the 10th wouldn't it need to be a backup before this date?

A backup for the 16th does not help me since the site has been messed up since the 10th. I still cannot log on and today is the 21st and still no progress. The files are the same as my my site that is hosted with you - Gambling Information & Resources | Horse Race Betting | Offshore Sports Books except for the articles. If you cannot help, then please return the backup money that I paid. Thank you!

    Hello,
if you cannot do the backup at least a week before the 16th, then please return my money. During the prior week you did not respond to my emails or my ticket in support. Although, you did phone me, which I was surprised since I'm in California USA. In addition, can you please email me again my log on info so that I can try again since my main domain is starting to have the same problems (not on the site, but when I go to update it [not in the cpanel], it says that the site cannot be found on the server [it does come up about 30 seconds later])

OK. Well, my main domain, www,24-7wagering.com, is now starting to miss files. Since I cannot log on I was wondering if anyone would be interested in transferring the site to another hosting company located in England before I miss all the files like in tmy horse betting site. Today, when I went to post an article, I got the following:
    Not Found
The requested URL /cu_source was not found on this server.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Apache/1.3.39 Server at fbnovc77.amhost.net Port 80
If interested, please email me (richardbleuze@sbcglobal.net) your price and I'll provide you with the info, including my log on info that was sent by EUKHosting on the 13th. However, please be warned that people in Canada or the USA cannot log on so don't waste your time.
Also, I do expect my money that I paid for the backup to be returned since backups for the 16th don't do me any good. In addition, does anyone know if I can get a partail refund on my hosting since I paid for a year?

    Hi Richard,

Shawn had replied to your ticket GIU-94242-302 on 18th November 2008 and he had given login details of your account in the ticket. Please check the ticket and let me know if anything was missing in the ticket which needs to be corrected.

You didn't reply to the ticket in last 5 days and our support staff can't predict problems unless you inform them. All your websites seem to be working fine and we can't restore backup unless you ask us to do so. You had paid the backup restoration invoice on 19th and we had backup of 16th only when you paid the invoice.

You had asked for similar backup restoration twice in the year 2007 and this was done for you as per your request. You should have considered a separate backup plan from Offsite Backup Service | Backup Solutions | Remote Data Backups as you get flexibility to set daily, weekly as well as monthly backups if you use our backup plans.

Please update one of your existing tickets and let us know how you want us to proceed. I have issued full refund on the £15 invoice you had paid for backup restoration.

Hello, on the 10th you emailed me all the infomation, however since I submitted the ticket (the 13th), I've not been able to log on to the cpanel. Backup was requested the week of the 10th. I spoke to Ben in billing since tech could not help me and thus transferred me. In fact, you even phoned me that same day.
The main domain site problem that I posted is happening in the adminstrative area and not the cpanel which I cannot access.
If you want a copy of the email that you sent with my info on the 13th, please email me and I'll send you a copy in case it has the rong information.
By the way, I have gotten my refund for the backup. Thank you!

    Hi Richard,

Backup restoration invoice was paid only on the 19th and we could only restore the backup which was taken on 16th. If you had such major problem with your website then you should have explained this in a ticket or livechat to one of our technical person. Delay in communication from your side was the only reason for this problem. You have been our customer from last 2 years and you know how to contact us when you need quick solution.

This thread was started on 4th November 2008 and you have mentioned that the website ran into problems on 10th November 2008. You paid backup restoration invoice on 19th November 2008. I don't see anything wrong being done from our side as Tickets and chats were promptly answered within 1 - 2 hours of their start time.

Actually, my request for the invoice was made by ticket on the 13th - the last day that I was able to log on. I paid on the 19th since I request help on the forum to get a response since I wasn't getting any. You cut the invoice on the 18th and I paid on the 19th as soon as I cut up since you are 8 or 9 hours ahead of me.
