    Default Monitoring Website Load

    Hello People,
I am looking for a simple but effective way of monitoring the CPU and Memory load for each of my website hosted on a windows dedicated server 2008. Currently, we have about 600 ASP and PHP based websites. After searching a lot, I decided to assign application pool to each website. However, assigning application pool to 600 websites will cause a serious issue.

Is there any other way to monitor the CPU and Memory load of 600 websites without having problem to the windows server 2008 ?

Well, in order to monitor the CPU and memory load on your dedicated server either you will have to develop your own monitoring script or you can try the Multi Router Traffic Grapher (MRTG), one of the best tool to monitor the traffic load.

Thanks for the tool, but will it allow me to view information for individual websites ? Please remember that there are about 600 websites I need to monitor.

There are a couple of popular monitoring tools available that you may want to subscribe to, namely (i) Neustar webmetrics (webmetrics.com), (ii) Exclamation Soft (exclamationsoft.com) and (iii) AlertSite (alertsite.com)
