Default Server colchester is under FSCK

    Dear Customers,

The /home partition is under FSCK process as it was got mounted read-only. Up till now, first phase of FSCK process is completed and we are hoping it should finish soon. Though we can not provide an exact ETA on it, as the FSCK process is under progress and its been executed on /home partition [The Biggest Partition] on server.

We will keep this thread updated about its progress.

We thank you and appreciate your kind patience and understanding in this regard..

    Hi,

I was told by a help support person that it'll take 30mins before the site is up and its been longer than that.

The server may be "up" as it were but our sites are not and I don't know about other people but I am getting complaints and have nothing really to tell them.

    Hi Kyle.

We do understand your frustration and apologize about it. This time issue was due to one of the account which raised server load to max level. Of course we have 24*7 live server monitoring and alert system but not sure how it got overloaded without appropriate alert.

We were not able to access the server and hence had to reboot it. While investigating this issue, we found some scripts which were increasing the load. In order to avoid this issue, we have disabled those script and concerned accounted is suspended now.

The server is stable now and all the sites are loading fine.

    Regards,
    Kieran A.

    Default Offline again?

Is this server down again? There are no notifications, but I seem to have lost service. What's going on?

    Default site down again

    Hi,

Site is down yet again, second time in 2 days. I understand downtime is to be expected and we all have server problems/other issues but twice in 2 days is worrying.

Can somebody please tell me for what reason the services and down and when they are expected to be back up.

I'd also like to know what the complaints procedure is.

    Thanks,

    Kyle

Thanks. I have just been on the Live Support chat to Sarina and was told its because of an "overloading domain" and that you are in the process of suspending the offending domains.

Its down yet again....although I can access the database on my site, looks like the apache daemon is dead this time:

    ibm:~# telnet wrestlebook.org 80
    Trying 109.203.108.152...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection timed out

    Hello.

Yes. The server was live but inaccessible due to the load. Now we have rebooted it and still looking into it.

We will update here once further investigation is done. We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

    Thank You.

We have been monitoring this server and making sure that all the services remain online during maintenance.

We will post an update once it is sorted. We appreciate your patience and co-operation in this regards.

    Default Update please!

My websites are working, but it's taking 30 seconds to get authentication from three of my email accounts and three of them are timing out completely.

cPanel http requests are taking 60 seconds to resolve making the panel practically useless.

    Webmail access is returning:

    ERROR: Could not complete request.
    Query: SELECT "INBOX"
Reason Given: [SERVERBUG] Internal error occurred. Refer to server log for more information. [2011-04-13 22:20:22]
...yet the serverlogs (when I can get into them) are showing empty.

Can we please have an update (as promised) as to what is going on?

    Default thought

it was being monitored, no updates, no email, poor customer care
