I too have no FTP - i assume this is blocked while you restore sites.
I also have IMAP issues, i use Outlook and Iphone on imap. Both are causing me issues.

Server should be accessible via FTP, data is still being restored for some of the accounts. If you still face the same issue, send an email at support[@]eukhost.com with the list of accounts.

FTP should be accessible now. You should be able to connect using IMAP now.

    Hi bedotnet,

I wouldnt assume anything as savvy as this at the moment.

What still is a total myth is why they rebuild a server in a live environment. I simply cannot believe they could not restrict http in some way (firewall, routing, ipchains etc)

We have had a youth football website and a console gaming web site amongst others that at one point were pointing to a modelling agency (I cannot even begin to explain whats currently hitting the fan because of this). God only knows where email has been sent.

Last time victorious went down with this magnitude (Sept 200, they rebuilt again in a live environment causing raw php code to be output effectively providing any visitors with source code include MySQL usernames, passwords etc.

To be fair, I have no doubts whatsoever that the technical teams dealing with this are absolute A1 technical in dealing with linux/server issues. Unfortunately though, there seems to no consideration that whilst they are rebuilding the box in verying states of repair, there are still visitors to the sites. For safety, security and to prevent us having to deal with god knows what, the server should remain offline to public view until fixed fully.

One last considering, if/when the shared cloud cluster ever happens would this problem still occur?

As a result of this, we shall be investigating further - Dual Semi-Dedicated servers with load balancing/fail over. Effectively our own "cloud"

We have worked out consolidating all our services this works out cost effective.

It was on my Todo list - prior to today, now wish id completed that task last week
    Hindsight, wonderfull thing.

In regards to techincal ability, the guys are top of their game - im pretty sure no one could have brought this up faster and once again, hindsight of the problems they faced would have been great at the time but there you go.

We work with what we have, sitting on the phone since 8:13 this morning to different clients wasnt what was planned for today though....

    Hello Chris,

The drives #0 and #3 failed at the same time. They were replaced with new ones and raid rebuilt was started. It was taking long time to rebuild the array and that's the reason we decided to setup the new server quickly and sync the data across to further downtime.

Yes, we do know that when the server was down last time the php pages were not parsed, resulting in code seen by all. This time we did took measures to compile php properly before taking the server Live environment.

    Hi Christiano,

We will surely update this thread once all latest data is synced.

    Thanks for the update,

Is there anyway in future issues that the server is kept away from public view until fixed?

also, it appears server has just gone down again:--
    Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Hello All,

Newly setup server is configured the same way before it went down. All data, configuration files are copied across the newly setup server.

If you still face any issue, please send an email to our support department (support@eukhost.com) or visit our live chat services.

We do apologize for the inconveniences caused so far.
