Hi Jonathan,
From approximately 0216 BST, clients noticed network instability issues on our MK based servers. This appeared to be a wider issue affecting one of our core routers in Telehouse East, it was experiencing high CPU. We stabilised the router in question so the routing platform was made stable, however we had to temporarily shutdown our Linx Extreme and Lonap peering to aid in diagnostic work, so sub-optimal routing paths were observed.
Now we have successfully restored all redundancy and peering points and the platform remains stable since 0341 BST. Once again, we would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and work with our vendor to establish the route cause of this issue. Thank you once again for the patience & cooperation shown during this unexpected network outage.
