Still Nothing
Well still no news or no one from Eukhost to answer my question
"We are coming up with 2 different solutions for Cloud Hosting. One would be based on VMWare which will be expensive and other would be Applogic. Both will go live on our website from 1st November 2009"
Was the Quote from the Chief Marketing officer on a previous forum post
So I just asked sales for any details on live chat , and got the very helpful respose below.
Danny: I guess we'll have to wait
Danny: new things do take some time to come out
Is there a problem with it now ?
Everything seems to have just gone quiet !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Chris / Sam,
Our launch got slightly delayed due to some technical questions we had related to RAID. Initially we decided that RAID1 would be sufficient on these Dell R710 servers, but looking at the performance of these servers, we realised that RAID1 won't be sufficient.
We have ordered some RAID5 cards and additional stock of SAS drives. I will get ETA from Dell tomorrow as they will be sending Air shipment with top priority.

Thanks for the update, i just dont want to upgrade from reseller to a VPS or Semi Dedicated yet, because it`ll be a change of nameservers and dedicated ip address, and then ill have to move again to the cloud and go through the ip change etc again, so just hanging on, I hope it`ll be this side of Christmas though

I'd rather thorough testing is carried out and all kinks ironed out than to rush it out. The last thing we would need is to launch the cloud, move over to it....everything is great then POOF! BANG! and someone says, "shit didn't think about that" and our clients go "server is down, when are we moving to that fantastic new cloud you've been raving about...and I'm going ermmm, yeh, soon...trust me"
So, yep, REALLY pleased to see you are taking the time you need to get it perfect and understand too that is what we need. Good work. Keep us updated.

Hi Chris,

Launch of our first cloud has been delayed due to incompatibility of Applogic software with the new Intel Nehalem CPUs. They have launched a beta version for us to continue our testing work, but we will need to wait for another 2 weeks to get the updated version 2.8.

Thank-you eukhost for that update. Frustrating though it is for all of us, it's better to get all the pieces in place, rather than fire off too early.
Hope all goes well with the testing. Looks like you have a cue of customers ready for the cloud ...

I think realistically its not going to be happening this year, but I guess that was too be expected, which is fine. The Christmas month is always the tester month for uptime, would have been nice to be on the Cloud by then, but I still feel confident the package im on now will get through the month with no hiccups.
