Default Domain transfer on cPanel hosting

I am looking to set up another hosting agreement with you (I already have another under a different user name) and I have some quick questions about domain transfers.

My client wants to change the registrar on their .co.uk domain name to EUKHOST so that everything is managed in one place.

I understand that I have to get the existing registrar to change IPS TAG on the domain name to EUKHOST. Can this be done before I order the hosting or do I have to order it first?

You have a domain name transfer charge of £12.00, is this in addition to the £10.00 + VAT charged by Nominet for the registrar change?

If it is in addition am I right in assuming that I pay the £10.00 + VAT to the existing registrar as this is what is implied by the Nominet web site?

    Thanks in advance.

You need to get the IPS tag for .uk domain changed to EUKHOST while placing a new order. Domain will get transferred with us automatically as soon the IPS tag is changed to EUKHOST. The domain transfer fee, which you pay to us is in addition to charges of NOMINET for registrar change. We do charge for the domain transfer and it includes two year's of domain renewal. Additionally, the domain will be renewed for two year's at the time of transfer only if the domain is up for renewal.

Could you please clarify this a little as it would be very difficult to coordinate the tag change so that it happens at exactly the time the order is placed. I assume there is a some leeway in this, for example as long as it is done within 24 hours. If this is the case is it better to get the tag change before or after the order is placed (I would guess after)?

Sorry to be pedantic about it but I would like to keep my clients down time to to a minimum.

    Thanks

I would suggest you to place an order before you get the IPS tag changed for your domain name. Nameservers information would be provided in welcome email. You can update those nameservers by contacting the loosing registrar. Once this has been done, you may change the IPS tag of the domain name so it could be transferred.

Let me know the domain name so I'll make sure it's transferred successfully and would have it pointed to your hosting package.

The domain name will be strettonfieldstables.co.uk but I will not be setting up the account for a week or two yet as there are a couple of final details to sort out first.

I will post a reply here when I create the account.

After a few delays the account has now been set up and I am getting the site uploaded.

The change to the IPSTAG for strettonfieldstables.co.uk should be being requested in the next couple of days
