    Default Which hosting package

I have found a niche selling English language content services in the Indian and SE Asian markets. What kind of hosting package would be right for me. I don't really need a very large site for this. I just need a checkout system and a few pages for a home page, FAQ, contact information, and perhaps some content samples.

    Hi,

I think a shared hosting plan would be fine for you. If you will have online transactions through your website. you will need to get an SSL Certificate as well. You can check EUK's plans from the below links:-
UK Shared Cpanel Hosting | PHP MySQL Linux Web Hosting
Windows Web Hosting | ASP.NET Hosting | SQL Web Hosting - eUKhost

I would recommend you to opt for Business Hosting plan. EUK offers 100% Uptime Guarantee on their Business Hosting plan. You can check the plans here.

You can start off with a shared hosting plan as of now. Plan upgrades can be done anytime later when your website grows and you need more resources.

    @ piniella
Well, if its just a small business website then you can start with one of shared hosting package offered by eUkhost.
You need to think of getting Windows Hosting package if you have used any Microsoft owned application while developing your website else Linux Shared Hosting would be fine for your hosting needs.

Linux hosting packages comes with cPanel( Webhosting control panel ) & Fantastico( application installer ) If you are planning to have shopping cart integrated with your website then Fantastico would be of great use for you hence I will recommend you to opt for Linux hosting package

As you will have online transactions on your website you would need an SSL certificate installed on your domain name. If you purchase an SSL certificate from EUKhost.com then our technical support department will install the SSL certificate on your domain name for free and we will also provide you with a dedicated IP address with the SSL certificate for free

Pending on where you get your domain, some offer a year of FREE SSL. I don't want to be promoting for them though, so hit me up and i'll let you know of them.
