HBOS Cheifs £1.7 million Staff Reward
Amid an ever deepening financial crisis HBOS chiefs decided to reward call centre staff with a £1.7 million blowout in a lavish foreign trip. The trip which included private concerts by the Sugababes, Radio 1 DJs presenting a night party and an all inclusive week holiday is the latest in a line of unecessary spending by the already under-fire HBOS cheifs. Staff were given a DVD of the stay as a gift, one of which has been leaked to the News Of The World, which in one part shows staff snorting cocaine off a naked woman in their hotel resort.
- I personally find this disgusting. So we're bailing out banks that would otherwise collapse so they can sun themselves on a island with private pop concerts and shove coke up their noses.

How about now the government demands the immidiate removal of these staff members and asks for the board to tender its resignation? After all, after the Lloyds takeover we as tax payers will own 40% of the new bank.David Smith

Absolute disgrace! but what happens if they stop such rewards and the so called 'talented' CEO's move to other countries....maybe that would resolve the banking issues, im sure cow boys might of been able to do a better job...or most the time i certaintly feel that way.

A bonus is a vital part of business, but not for a business that is failing and in debt and all goes to one or two guys at the top while the rest will be left jobless.

Yes it is a joke. One of a series. When will they stop? Or more to the point when will major shareholders i.e. the Government make it stop?

The Government generally intervene in such case but they won't make things any better.
