Yes, Google Page Rank checker is one of the widely used tools to check the website status and ranking.
If you use Fire Fox then FireFox provides Add-ons for the same purpose : addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=PageRank&cat=all
Here you can find number of various tools that can server your purpose.

I use Market Samurai. You put your keywords in and your URL's and it tells you where you rank for each keyword out of 1000 pages. Cool.
I'm currently building my family history tree using the best genealogy software I could find.

I am currently using the Rank Checker which is helpful tool for quick information. I know most of the people use this tool. But the problem is that there is a variation between the results, the results are not the same like they have been shown in Google in actual.

I have just tried using The Search Engine Position tool from the eukhost webtools but I receive "Site is not found..." from each search.
As an example:
Enter Site URL : eukhost.com
Search on : Google
Search Limit : First 100 results
Enter Keyword : uk hosting
Be patient while processing your request...
Site URL : Be patient while processing your request...
Site URL : eukhost.com
Site is not found...eukhost.com
Site is not found...
What is wrong?

Note, the error actually shows the full http address, it's just that the form won't let me post URLs until I have submitted five posts.

I also use Google PageRank Checker - Check Google page rank of any web pages and put the button on my website so that visitors will know how my website is ranked by Google. Another good PR checker is mypagerank.net.
