It's hard to tell from an image though it seems cleaner. Maybe the 'feature' panel which mentions online chat could rotate (similar to a slideshow via JS) to also promote various other aspects of eUKhost for the new visitor who is just staring at the home page.

I think once past the 'ideas' stage it might be handy setting up a subdomain such as beta.eukhost.com to aid with reviewing/testing.

I'd suggest considering converting to the wider 1024 x 768 screen resoulation (eg. 1000px width). Many sites such as BBC are making the switch, and look at my own web site hosting stats only about 3.5% of visitors use 800x600.
To err is human, but to really screw up you need a computer.

    thats true.

I will request our designer to get resolution thing adjusted in CSS. Our forum covers full screen and that really makes everyone comfortable to visit daily on this forum.

I voted 'hmmm' for a different reason — in my opinion the top section takes far too much vertical space i.e. company logo/phone numbers in excessive whitespace and then a wastefully tall graphic which serves no purpose other than to look pretty and provide a link to a Chat Session.

For anyone that is using a low rez screen still (under 800px tall) that means an awful lot of scrolling vertically just to read the meat of a page! It's exactly the same in this forum with it's ProWeb Fluid template, which is why I always use the default style! The header is RIDICULOUSLY huge! (If you switch to the default template you'll be amazed at the difference)!

And to add weight to my argument I'm running a screenrez of 1920x1440px (i.e. much larger than most of you) and both headers are far too large even with the vast amount of screen real estate I enjoy!

I voted hhhmmmm because what eUK has is adequate enough for the job.
You really cant design for anybody using 800px anymore IMHO. Less than 6% of people who browse my website hosting use it, thats enough to "leave them behind" and code for at least 1000px wide IMHO.

Its much much better than the current design thankfully, but theres a couple of things i don't like about it - hence the reason for me voting 'hmmmm'.

I think the orange box around the news section just looks out of place and that the flag at the top needs to be changed to something flat, since the one there at the moment looks like something from clipart IMO.

Apart from that, its a great improvement and I like it.

    Hmmmm...

IMHO, the existing header graphics is almost perfect! The new design is way off, and I will give reasons:

    * The extreme top portion -- is wasted. Too much white space - both vertical and horizontal - good space is lost, and the logo's effectiveness is minimized. It stands very much alone. The phone numbers are "bold". Try a normal font thickness. The flag is again not very professional looking. The stripes doesn't look good. The paint is overflowing, and the borders are not continuous. It simply doesn't look like it's flying graciously! Sorry!
Now, look at the existing header at the home page of eUKHost. The top-left hand white space is well-filled. The flag looks nice and professional (some parts of the red still need another coat). The phone numbers do stand out with the nice thin font thickness. The upward-slanted arrow and the EUKHOST.COM are eye-catching.

The top horizontal menu again has thick words, the "shared hosting" is off-center, the button vertical division lines somehow doesn't look professional.

The bottom blue wave is definitely a poor design. It doesn't flow smoothly. The light-blue paint overflows into the dark blue band. The gray band below the blue wave is hollow (empty). The server at the right-hand has too much shadow. It looses attractiveness. The reddish-orange background somehow doesn't match the theme. It also eats away the Bronze - Silver - Gold boxes' colors. The "Online Chat" has a button-shaped background that again doesn't look professional. The entire "button" has a thick look that eats away the beautiful model's delicateness. As if, she got hit by a brick!

Now, compare all this with the existing header graphics. The flaw in the existing graphic is the rings behind the server, and some empty spot (rather a big patch of blue) next to the circle (between the server and the model). The black-white-blue circles look as if they are "forced" into action. And the blue bands going up next to it look like scratches. That can be replaced with faint graph, like the stock-market graph going up in a zigzag, depicting overall and consistant growth, blending nicely in the background.
Even the "Online Chat" blends well with the model's clothing. In short, if I compare both designs, I find the existing header far more professional than the proposed one.

Sorry if these observations are mood-dampening, but that's what I feel when I compare. I want the eUKHost to really glitter! You have a highly professional service, so let it ooze out PROUDLY off the front page to all the visitors!

When I first saw the eUKhost website hosting, to be honest I was put off as it looks rather dated (sorry!). However, the service is good which is why I choose eUKhost

Anyway, I choose Hmmm because while the design is better, its still not modern and clean for me. Looking around other hosting companies, some of their website hostings are much cleaner.

I think nice thin 1px lines and bold colours used sparingly - should attract more customers.

Hope i've not offended you or the desinger in any way!

We have started this thread to hear feedback from our customers so we have no problem with your opinion

I think I've managed to figure out most of the problems with our existing design. We made too many changes in our actual design to fit some new images and some images like the flag and "eukhost" name on the server were done by different designers.

I think we can improve existing design and bring perfection in the images.

here's another layout which was recently designed :-

I think the above design is definately the most modern and changes should be made to that design to perfect it, rather than tweaking the current design. Buttons are a little big and text too but its looking good.

The first is most certain better than what you have now, the second is even better, but I'm not sure if your still missing something...............

I've got to agree with Jayz639:

When I first saw the eUKhost website hosting, to be honest I was put off as it looks rather dated (sorry!). However, the service is good which is why I choose eUKhost
I was nearly put off by that originally design too, I guess you kind of imagine a modern hosting/server company having a modern and sleek design, When I saw the design I imagined the company being smaller as perhaps a one man band.

All said and done though, I've read many reviews about EUK around the web which is why I continued to persue doing business with you, and Danny on your sales chat was most helpful which is another great asset, Keth was good too.

I've been looking at EUK for about a week or 2 now, and must say I also missed that you had forums until a few moments before I registered.

Anyway, I like the second one because it's got more of a web 2.0 look about it.

Overall I like this latest design and it seems an improvement on the previous ones.

It still feels a bit squashed in when viewing in 1024x768 res. and the squeezes creates an inbalance noticeable in the header navigation. I think if the left column was shifted more to the left then the header navigation would be look more balanced. The shifted space could then be used to 'fatten up' the rest of the page (not sure if that's the right term). It would even allow for a four web hosting package boxes instead of just three.

Seems like our new designer has designed the packages section quite similar to one that you did few days back. Only difference is that you made all packages rotate using javascript, while he has arranged them without javascript.

I will pass on your suggestion to our designer and get back to you once he is done with the changes.
