    Question Client Area

I just wondered how other have made client area's for web hosting/design clients?
I'm currently trying out a Drupal set up but can't say that i'm getting along with it.
All I want is for clients to be able to view & pay invoices, view products/services/subscriptions, have access to help area, and view and possibly update their details.
I've looked at WHMCS but just don't have the budget at the moment.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Hi Dale,

WHMCS is not expensive at all if you consider the features you get with it. We can easily afford some expensive billing system, but we have continued with WHMCS as there's no other billing system as good as WHMCS.

Just ask yourself if you really don't have $10 for such awesome billing system?

That's a fair point, I suppose it just seemed like a large sum to start with, but as you say for everything that you get and the amount of work it would save I think it's time to just get on with it!

If you're willing to try it, then there's an opensource billing system that you can have a look at: jBilling. Now, I've never tried it myself, so take my recommendation with a grain of salt. I couldn't even find a demo, though there are some screenshots here at the SourceForge project page.
