Well, there are many ways to earn money in Hosting. However, you should decide whether you want to become a Hosting reseller or you want to setup your own website and sell other products. Other options include setting up a forum, blog etc and earn money through Advertisements you have on it. You can also be an affiliate of a web hosting company and earn money by referring the company to the people who need web hosting service. So it entirely depends on what exactly you want to have

Hey if you are looking to make a money from web hosting then why don't you consider out reseller hosting packages. Our Linux/Windows Reseller Hosting plans allow companies, individuals and groups of budding entrepreneurs to easily establish their own web hosting business. As a reseller you create your own hosting packages and set your own prices.

EUKhost provides cPanel control panel with the Linux Reseller hosting packages and Plesk control panel with Windows Reseller hosting packages. These control panels will make it easier for you to assign resources (Disk space and Bandwidth) to the packages you create.

Yes, it is definitely possible to become a Reseller of EUKhost. There are various discount slabs available depending on the number of servers you order for Reselling. You will get the servers at a discounted price if you order a number of servers. Hence, the more servers you Resell, the more profits you will earn

Basically, the first thing required for starting a web hosting company is a Web hosting package for your website and for Creating accounts for your customers. Once you have a Web hosting package you can have a Domain name i.e. website and display different packages according to you. Make sure, that you should have payment gateways on your website so that customers can make payments. These are the basic steps to start a web hosting company. You can do the Marketing work once your website is online.
Hope this helps...

Joining an affiliate program is also a good option to start earning money online. You can refer the company to the people who are in need of the services the company provides and the company will give you a commission per order or the rules they have for affiliates. However, it is better to confirm with the company you will start dealing with

As a starter, I would say, complete knowledge of hosting industry! If you do not have knowledge and you just plunge into the business, I think there would be nothing except a loss in business.
Once you know about how does it work you can create your own website, get a hosting package, design your own plans and start with the business. To keep your your business run, it is very important to have well experienced technical support staff. EUK shall be ideal for you.

To get started you need a lot of knowledge not only on web hosting in general but also system administration; it is important to carry out market research so that you know what the customer wants. Although some recommend to start off with a reseller web hosting package, for the best level of service you should start off with a VPS server; you will also need capital to invest in servers and any software that you may need. Finally, you need a good deal of business sense to ensure that everything is done properly.

The concept of starting a web hosting company seems very simple but things can become much more complicated.
The most difficult part is the "selling". As mentioned earlier, it is a very competitive market. So it’s important to look at all aspects before you start a web hosting company. Consider all the above points mentioned by the community members, some more research will be required ofcourse.
You should know that it takes a lot of patience to run a successful webhosting company
Good Luck!

Well, it is not really possible to get all the knowledge about the Web Hosting Industry and then start a company as Web Hosting Industry is growing regularly and new concepts and products are launched on daily basis. However, you should be well aware of the products which are sold and purchased on regular basis. I would suggest you to start a web hosting business only after you are well aware of the industry and the skills required to run the company. Basically, it is not difficult to start, but it is difficult to start and progress. Make sure that you start on a lower level and then move to the higher one when you feel you should.

Well, there are many Payment gateways available and you can select one according to your requirements. Some of the well known and preferred payment gateways are Paypal, Google checkout, 2Checkout, Moneybookers etc. These payment gateways charge transaction fees and you can select the payment gateway which has the least transaction fees and which is reliable enough. Choosing a payment gateway also depends on the turnover you have on your website as some of the payment gateways offer a great deal if your transactions are more.
When it comes to securing a customers information then you can use a billing application which will make sure that the customers details are safe. Also, a billing application will manage your account which is yet another benefit.

You should sign up for a merchant account so that you can accept online payments. Some of the popular payments gateways are 2checkout, Googlecheckout, Worldpay, Authorize.net, Paypal, Moneybookers.
You will need to secure the order process by installing a private SSL. The entire sign up, from beginning to end, will be protected with SSL encryption then.

Yes I completely agree with Jennifer.SSL certificate is one of the most important aspect in order to secure your website. It also gains trust of the client, s/he can be rest assured about the payments.
These are small but very important factors to be considered in the business of webhosting.

I would like to add that many companies offer SSL certificates and the pricing and the features provided with each SSL certificate is different. You can select an SSL certificate according to your requirements. SSL certificates are of different grades and you can select one according to the Security grade you will require.

Very true. The SSL certificates are provided of different kinds and different features. For example, most of the SSL certificates are provided for one domain name but you will also find an SSL certificates for multiple Domain names. Ofcourse, the charges of the SSL certificate which will support multiple Domains will be higher.
