FSCK on a Semi Dedicated Node
Dear customers,
One of our Semi-Dedicated nodes in the 94.76.230.* subnet went into FSCK last night. We have not been able to ascertain the cause as there was no warning before it went into filesystem check. The Server is up and running fine at the moment, but the problem is that the server is suffering from extensive filesystem damage due to a cause which is yet to be determined.
We have a backup available from 30th Aug (4 days old), currently we are setting up a new hardware node and then we will proceed with data restore.
We are working as quickly as possible to restore normal service. Needless to say this will also be thoroughly investigated once everything is restored, and measures will be taken to ensure that this does not happen again.
Once we have more information, you will be provided with more updates immediately.
