Default How long to generate an SSL certificate?

    HI,
I wondered if it normal to have to wait about 8 hours for an SSL certificate to be generated.

I provided all the info requested at 2300 y/day and had heard nothing by 0730 when I chased and was told I would just have to wait.

Is this normal? Many SSL providers can turn around the cert in minutes.

This is colouring my hitherto positive view of the EUK support.

    Dave.

    Hello

Usually we need information about webserver , control panel (if you are using any)
approval email address etc. before we place request for SSL. We have already placed request for SSL certificate for your domain. Unless you approve SSL order it will not get issued from SSL provider. We also have updated your support request.
Please update it once you approve ssl order

    Alan,
I provided all the info about server (IIS6) and cpanel (none: root access to the server) last night.

" Unless you approve SSL order it will not get issued from SSL provider"
When I clicked on the link in the email the Approve/DoNotApprove buttons were greyed out and the page said "This order has already been approved or rejected" . This seemsed very odd.

I emailed this info to support AT eukhost.com 20 mins ago.

What more do I need to do to get the cert generated?

    Dave

"Please update it once you approve ssl order"

I have tried to log into support.eukhost.com to do so but the page says I am not registered despite me having an email from EUK with my login details when I registered.

    Please look into this asap.

EUK normally seems to run so smoothly.

    Dave.

We can isssue the ssl within minutes if we have correct CSR and access to webmaster@ssldomain to approve the certificate.

I checked your issue , The SSL was not issued. The CSR you have provided in support ticket is for pottsmullarkey.co.uk and you asked to issue ssl for WELCOME TO pottsmullarkey.co.uk! .
The ssl can be issued for pottsmullarkey.co.uk only with the provided CSR.

Kindly re-send correct CSR for WELCOME TO pottsmullarkey.co.uk!

I approved the SSL request at 1033 and emailed support to inform them of this.

When can I expect the certificate?

    David,
Thanks, I am now, but it did seem like a bit of a struggle .
I admit I generated the CSR with the 'www.' but it was well outside the advertised 2-hour turnaround before I chased the support team as I had heard nothing.

I was doing this for my employers ( I have EUK hosting for my own sideline and have always been pleased) but my employers weren't very impressed at the down time (as it was for IIS the server was certificateless while the request was being processed).
