    Default Multiple Namersevers

    Hello,

I have a question about nameservers

Basically, I have a set of private nameservers setup on my VPS which works perfect, now I was wondering if its possible to have another set of private nameservers setup using the same IP`s?

The reason I ask is, I have an account with another host im closing down soon, and need to move all the websites I have with them, but the websites setup on some of those domains I dont actually have access too and rather than go through the hassle of getting the client to update and maybe mess it up, I want to change the IP of the domain using the private nameservers on the other account, too point to my VPS server then there should be a seemless propogation.

Is this possible? Im sure in the past ive had 2 sets of private nameservers setup.

    Any advise would be great
    Thanks
    Sam

    Hello Sam,

Yes, You can register "N" number of private nameservers pointing to same IP`s. It will not affect your existing nameservers.

Yes, You can add another set of private DNS . You have to make sure that the new set of private DNS are pointing to IP address of VPS servers.
