Default Server not foound - by half the country only!

I have a problem with one of my VPS accounts (the other works great) which is baffling, and I guess its baffling to support also cos there has been no progress with the issue for a few days now.

The sites on my VPS are only accessible by 40% of the country, I say this because I have done a site tracker test and 26/36 cannot find the server, yet the rest can. Of course all my site owners are amongst the 60%

All of the sites involved can be accessed by typing the VPS IP and the account name into the address bar, but for the unfortunate 60% trying to access via the actual domains just say 'server not found'. Unfortunately Barclays ePDQ is amongst these so clients cannot do any trade, as the check page which they send is not found. And all the API keys which so many others sites use also will not work without the domains working either.

Just to spice it up a little, all the email accounts stopped working today too, so I am not very popular.

Has anybody experienced this happening, as I have never heard of such a problem and as yet have no response from EUK as to what it might be?

I did so when the problem started Ken, just asking if there was anyone else who may be able to shed some light on the issue. Sorry if I have posted in the incorrect place.

    Hello

I suspect this is dns propagation issue. It will take some time for dns records to propagate all over the world if you have added sites recently, on your vps. In that case you may not able to access sites at certain region where dns records are not propagated fully though same site can be accessible where dns records propagated. Please open support request or let us know ticket no. if you have already opened so that we can troubleshoot further.

Problem resolved now, the nameservers for the domains were not matching up with the nameservers on the accounts.

Right. VPS is configured to use default name servers and you are using private name servers at domain registrar. I've replaced the name servers on all domains to use your private name servers.
