Site that shows under IP address

Hi all,

I recently opened a VPS Linux account with Eukhost and it works great. I wondered if anyoe knows the answer to this question.

I get two IP addresses. If I just type in the IP address into a web browser, it takes me directly to the first site set up under each of the respective IP addresses. Is there any way I can change which site is shown when just the IP address is chosen?

In the 2 ipaddress provided with vps, one is the primary ipaddress which is the shared ipaddress & this ipaddress can be used by multiple domains on the vps. The other is the secondary ipaddress & can be used as a dedicated ipaddress. The primary ipaddress should not show any site when it is accesssed, it should show a cpanel page. Only the secondary ipaddress should show a site. If the primary ipaddress is showing a site, in that case there seems to some misconfiguration in apache on your vps.

Thanks for your reply Sam. I can confirm that my primary IP address definitely does show the first site created under it and not a cPanel page. Where in Apache's configuration do I look?

You should look under the <VirtualHost> directive for the IP address in the /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf file. Make sure you backup that file prior to any changes which might result into the web server giving up Also, you can open up a support ticket so we can have it checked & corrected quickly as per your requirements
