Is there actually going to be any sort of follow up to this post? It seems as soon as I posted the technical reason for our website going offline due to SSH being disabled, everything has gone quiet as if you're hiding behind the scenes.

    Hi Thomas,

The reason we haven't posted anything back here since is because the issue is now resolved. We had sent an e-mail to all customers regarding this. SSH has been restored on all Virtuozzo virtual servers.

I certainly don't think it is resolved. Whilst the downtime was minimal, we had lost orders due to this unnecessary change breaking our order form.

I would expect an apology from eUKhost at the very minimum for the disruption this has caused, and assurance such unauthorised changes will not happen again. Given the circumstances, I think this is a very reasonable thing to request.

I would imagine that eUK staff have no doubt learnt some lessons from this incident. Sometimes even the best intentions don't work out well. I guess the one thing to remember is that there was nothing malicious in it, but I can see where you are coming from with your points and can understand how you must be feeling about the whole situation .

    Hi Thomas,

I can absolutely understand your point of view and we regret that it has caused you to lose business as a result. We unreservedly apologise for this. I will get our Managing Director, John, to personally respond to you regarding this.

    Kind regards,
    Ben.
