You wont find any such tutorial but I'll make few screenshots tomorrow and add those in this thread to help you upgrade Apache - PHP from SSH.

Well PHP upgrade has been made "a childs job" with easyapache on shell and Apache update in WHM. Anyone who has about 50% knowledge of Linux should be able to upgrade without any tutorials.

As it is well said "Things look though at the first attempt only".

Josh didn't manage to do it with any sort of success so far. You need to recall those days when you were watching people doing such upgrades and you were not allowed to do those for months

I've tried Apache Update about five times to no avail. I'll have a look at this easyapache thing.

If it is urgent, you can just contact support department and tell them php version with required modules. They will do it for you.

You can refer cPanel documentation URL : http://www.cpanel.net/docs/whm/

    Thanks for the offer Alex.

I'd rather do it myself so that I know what to do in the future when setting servers up or when I need to upgrade PHP on other servers.

It's alright to let others do it for you, but I want to learn, and you can only learn if you get your hands dirty with it.
