Friendly URL's in Joomla Not Working In IIS

Hi,

Im setting up a Joomla Hosting ! based website and want to activate the SEF URLs however Ive noticed that Im on an IIS server and it wont work apparently?

Anyone able to point me in the direction of a How to or help set it up for me?

Hi Saqib,

Welcome to the forums

For SEF URLs to work, a rewrite module, such as ISAPI_ReWrite, needs to be in place.. If you can get in touch with our Windows support dept through live chat/email, we can assist you through the installation & get the friendly URL's to work in Joomla.

No, I am afraid.

The other option would be to install the Lite version of ISAPI_Rewrite but with this you will not be allowed to have per website configuration. You will have a common http.conf or http.ini file for all domains.

Or else install Apache on your server or have a Linux server instead.

Ya actually firstly i need to test this SEF.. so is it possible that you can install Lite version for me please.. or where should i contact n who can install this for me ?
