EL127 down (Hard Drive Problem)
Dear Customers,
We are having an issue with one of our node. The node - EL127 is down for maintenance. The node is facing problems on one of the Hard drive. Our administrators are working on it to get this sorted asap.
This thread will be updated with further progress. eUKhost apologises for any inconvenience which is being caused due to this.

apologises...
Hello.
Apologising doesn't help our business!
The reliability of your servers is appauling. The hosting side of our business has been severely affected since moving to Eukhost. This has had a big impact on the rest of our business as hosting is a small part of what we do.
When I first joined, I suffered problems after problems. Since then it's just continued. 2 days ago the servers were down because it was overloaded. I was continually told it was sorted.
Earlier it was overloaded again with the load at 9.0! I'm supposed to be on semi dedicated with low useage.
This is getting past the joke, we have no email and I already have clients on the phone. Do you realise it has taken me years to build my business up and you are destroying my reputation.
It is NOT acceptable.
Are all your testimonials fake?

"Are all your testimonials fake?"
No they are not. Not the ones i have given in the past anyway. I have a dedicated server here and EUKhost have been fantasic as have the support team for dedicated. Its one of our clients semi's thats down at the moment. I guess they have been un lucky with this outage. Lets hope its not for long.

not acceptable
The amount of downtime I have suffered with Eukhost is NOT acceptable.
Some testimonials may be true but at the moment our business reputation in tatters. Eukhost are destroying what I have worked hard for years to build up. I was warned that it was a company who have been appauling over the years and let 100's of people down, started by a 14 year old boy.
We can't go on like this. And all we get is "sorry for any inconvenience"
Its NOT good enough.

The maintenance work on EL127 node is complete and our technical team is in process of restarting all semi dedicated servers one by one. All semi dedicated servers will be online in some time. In case any customer is still facing any problems with their server, please get in touch with our technical team via live chat or our helpdesk.
We are also in process of setting up a new node with brand new hardware. Once the new node is ready, all servers on EL127 node would be migrated on to the new node. This migration process won't involve any downtime as we will keep the old node active until the migration process is successfully completed.
All semi dedicated servers would run from the old node until the new node is ready and migration process is completed so the load on it may be high and as a result servers may respond slowly. So we request all customers to co-operate with us during this while.Cloud Hosting - Pay-As-You-Go Hosting with eNlight Cloud

when
and when will this be done? I've got several clients who have said "If it goes down again, we are cancelling"
And those clients are worth £1000s in other business.
Will this new node solve all your problems? and will we be given the 99.9whatever uptime you say you give.

Some semi dedicated servers are already up while the remaining are coming online one by one. Our technical team is taking utmost care while restarting each server to prevent data loss as the performance of the HDD has degraded. However this is only a temporary arrangement until the new node is setup. The new node will be ready by tomorrow and migration process will be completed soon after.

Thanks Ryan,
As you posted our semi cam back online. It is very useful for us guys to get regular updates when things like this happen. We usually have to answer to others and its very hard when we cant give them any idea how long things might take.
Cheers

ok
Hi all looks good here.
Only thing I noticed is the new server is a single quad (4 processor) not the dual quad (8 processor) but whm, cpanel and roundcube webmail seem nice and fast. The processors are 2.83 gig each so hopefully even with 4 the load will stay nice and low.
Glad you did the move seamlessly.
No downtime anytime soon pleaseeee, I've bribed some clients with good ole cash to make them stay and stick it out!
